New Zealand packing list

Preparing an ultimate list of things I really need during a few months travel took me ages. Theoretically I don't need anything else than when I was packing for one mont travels, but this time I wanted to do everything properly. My backpack has always been a mess, when I was trying to reach for one thing I was throwing everything else out. Then I always had to put all of the stuff back inside and I never knew where anything was. This time everything's gonna change. Each item will have its place in a bag or another container. Clothes will be in waterproof bags; chargers, earphones and cables will be tied properly. My backpack will replace my home for a couple of months. It has to be neat and I must be kind of organised.

Well, what am I taking?

HOME

# TENT - Quechua Arpenaz 2 - the smallest, lightest and shittiest tent from Decathlon. I like it a lot. Let's explore the world together one more time.
# SLEEPING BAG - Deuter Orbit, comf. temp. 9 degrees, limit temp. 5 degrees. It might be really helpful in the mountains. In warmer areas I'll probably use it as a blanket.
# BACKPACK - Quechua Forclaz 50. Another cheap piece of equipment from Decathlon. It's not a great one, but it contains 50 l and everything I need fits inside. It was perfect during my previous travels, it'll be fine this time as well.
# WATERPROOF BACKPACK COVER Wisport. Perfect when it rains.
# Military foldable SLEEPING MAT - way more convenient than a big roll.
# SPACE BLANKET - has many purposes.
# LITTLE BACKPACK - when our stuff will be safe and sound in a hostel or another place, we will be visiting places and trekking in the mountains with a small backpack.
# CANVAS BAG - I'll use it as a container for other things inside the backpack and as my personal bag when going out without the luggage.
# BUMBAG - a perfect case for little handy items.

WARDROBE

# LIGHT TREKKING SHOES - my main shoes, to walk and walk and walk and then walk uphill.
# BALLERINAS - surprisingly comfy tiny shoes for hot weather.
# FLIP FLOPS - in the shower, at the beach.

# PAIR OF JEANS x1
# LEGGINGS x1
# ALADDIN PANTS from a Turkish market - perfect for hot days.
# SHORTS x2
# T-SHIRT x2
# TOP x4
# Cotton DRESS
# HOODIE
# THERMOACTIVE LEGGINGS - for colder days and nights.
# THERMOACTIVE TOP
# RAINCOAT - makes me look like a dementor, but it fully protects me against any unwanted water. I can also unbutton it and create a waterproof blanket.
# LIGHT DOWN JACKET - we're chasing the sun, but I kinda feel that it will be cold af in Kyrgyz mountains.

# PANTIES x5
# BRA x2
# Pair of SOCKS x5
# BIKINI
# BUFF - multifuncional headwear for hot/sunny/cold/windy times.
# BANDANA
# SUNGLASSES

BATHROOM

# QUICK DRY TOWEL x2 - small handy towels. They don't absorb water as well as fluffy towels at home, but they're perfect for traveling. I'm taking two, the spare one will be my beach towel or I'll use it when the first one gets dirty.
# TOOTHBRUSH & TOOTHPASTE
# SHAMPOO
# SOAP - I like fancy shower gels like every girl, but this time I'm taking regular soap. It's smaller, easier to carry around and more efficient.
# LAUNDRY SOAP
# FACE CREAM
# SUNSCREEN
# HAIRBRUSH WITH A MIRROR - 2in1.
# ANTIPERSPIRANT
# ROLL OF TP
# WET WIPES
# FIRST AID KIT - some bandaids, some painkillers, something for diarrhea and something for mosquitoes.

ELECTRONICS & OTHERS

# MOBILE PHONE
# SPORTS CAMERA Xiaomi YI with accessories.
# TABLET Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 - replacing my laptop.
# SILICON KEYBOARD - it's flexible and not heavy, you can roll it and it fits everywhere. Perfect for travelling and way more convenient than typing on a tablet screen.
# KINDLE with tons of books.
# POWERBANK - it takes ages to charge it, but afterwards you can charge 4 or even 5 devices using it. It has 2 USB slots and it's very efficient.
# CAR CHARGER - to charge things o the road.
# SPEAKER - a tiny waterproof (!) speaker.
# EARPHONES
# HARD DISC
# HEADLAMP - our light in the tent.
# INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL ADAPTER
# 896727229 CABLES & CHARGERS
# PASSPORT
# DEBIT CARD
# INSURANCE
# VACCINATION BOOK
# COPIES OF DOCUMENTS
# POCKET KNIFE
# SOME ROPE AND DUCT TAPE - to fix anything
# BLACK MARKERS - hitchhikers' best friends
# PLAYING CARDS & DICE
# WATERPROOF BAGS for clothes and electronics

There are two of us so in fact each of us is carrying less stuff. I'm taking only half of the tent what definitely makes life easier. We are only taking one powerback, hard disc, sunscreen, speaker etc so we will share it and our backpacks won't be that heavy.
